Beautiful eyelashes, a smooth, brown coat – little Hermann isn’t just a “stable bull” with a “powerful name”. The cub also possesses ample grace.

A beautiful little calf with a very German name: There is a new baby bull among the Banteng cattle at Cologne Zoo. The cub, which was born on December 11th, has now been presented to the press. His name also became public: the little one’s name is Hermann. “Because he’s a stable bull, he should of course have a powerful name,” said Robin Lammers from Cologne Zoo.

According to the zoo, Hermann has been agile since the beginning and regularly drinks milk from his mother Ornella. Father Buddy is considered an imposing animal with a typical black coat color. Bantengs are endangered wild Asian cattle. They live, among other things, on the large islands of Indonesia.

At the same time, bantengs are considered very graceful animals. This was also underlined by zoo expert Lammers, who emphasized, among other things, the “beautiful eyelashes”. In addition, there is very smooth, brown fur and another special feature. “They also look very clean with that white butt they have,” Lammers said.
