Newborn baby found alive in trash can

It was a resident who raised the alarm in the morning after hearing crying while they were taking out her garbage. Quickly on site, firefighters found this Friday a newborn living in a buried trash can located in Square Charles Dullin in the Bréquigny district of Rennes, we learned from the prosecutor’s office, confirming information from West France. “The live infant, male, mixed skin, was urgently transported to the pediatric department of the University Hospital,” specifies Philippe Astruc, Rennes public prosecutor.

To save the infant, who was in a plastic bag according to the daily, the firefighters lowered using a rope inside the container approximately four meters deep. A “very special” intervention, confides one of them. A criminal investigation into attempted murder was opened by the prosecution and entrusted to departmental security.
