New VW Tiguan in the driving test: The almost perfect commuter car – Auto & Mobil

The VW Tiguan has only grown a little, but in the third model generation it still looks much more grown-up: with the beefy front, the upright stature and up to 20-inch wheels, the softened crossover model has become a compact Touareg. Which model to choose? The powerful diesels with up to 193 hp work well and consume little, but they are not really smooth-running. The two turbo petrol engines have to do without a slight electrification of the drive and are therefore not the most economical. The two entry-level petrol engines with mild hybrid and 130 or 150 hp are completely different: they get going well, save on fuel and are comparatively affordable. Nobody actually needs more Tiguan.
