“It’s a dirty game,” Prince Harry says in the new Harry & Meghan trailer. The Netflix docuseries starts on December 8th.

The new Netflix documentary series by Prince Harry (38) and Duchess Meghan (41) starts on Thursday, December 8th. That has the streaming provider has now officially announced. The first three episodes will be available at the start of “Harry & Meghan”, followed by three more a week later. Fans can expect an “unprecedented and profound documentary series,” according to Netflix’s description.

New trailer released

In addition to the start date, a new trailer has also been released in which Prince Harry chooses clear words. “It’s a dirty game,” he explains of how the British press treated his wife Meghan. “There is a family hierarchy. There are leaks and fabricated stories.” A war was waged against Meghan to enforce the interests of others.

Harry also draws a parallel with his late mother, Princess Diana (1961-1997). “The pain and suffering of the women who marry into this institution, this sensationalism,” the trailer continues. Clips show Diana and Meghan being followed by paparazzi. Meghan speaks of having realized: “They will never protect you.” Prince Harry describes his fear of “history repeating itself”. Finally, the son of King Charles III. (74) clear: “Nobody knows the whole truth. We know it.”

“Doesn’t it make more sense to hear our version?”

The first trailer had already caused a stir last week. The clip for the documentary series by Liz Garbus (52), which is largely in black and white, shows many never-before-seen shots of the Sussexes’ private life. The short statements by the protagonists give an idea that the British royal family must fear new revelations from the royal dropouts after the Oprah interview from March 2021. An off-screen voice asks the pair at the beginning of the video, “Why do you want to make this documentary?” to which Harry seems to reply later in the clip, “Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors.” Meanwhile, his wife holds her hand in front of her face and may be crying.

The Duke of Sussex later explains, “I had to protect my family,” and Meghan defiantly asked at the end of the one-minute video, “When there’s so much at stake, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our version?”.
