New Ticketmaster bug for the singer’s Paris dates

Bis repetita… This Tuesday, the sale of tickets for the Parisian concerts of the American star Taylor Swift was put on hold shortly after its launch on the Ticketmaster platform, which had already experienced hitches for this artist last year.

The sale “for Paris La Défense Arena has been put on hold”, writes Ticketmaster on its French social networks. “We will keep you informed with a new time of sale as soon as possible” continues the platform. A previous message reported “problems with the site this (Tuesday) morning”.

Four concerts scheduled for 2024

Taylor Swift, pop figure with 267 million subscribers on Instagram, had added an additional date for Paris La Défense Arena, the largest indoor hall in Europe, which must therefore receive it on May 9, 10, 11 and 12. 2024.

These four Parisian concerts will mark the start of the European tour of the interpreter of “Cruel Summer”.

The sale of tickets for the four dates at Paris La Défense Arena was scheduled for this Tuesday morning. Registrations for the sale had been closed since June 23.

This Tuesday noon, Ticketmaster also announced that it had paused the sale for its concerts in lyon scheduled for June 2 and 3, 2024 at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon-Décines.

The site already in question in the United States

This is not the first mishap of its kind for the platform. On the grill of the American Senate, Ticketmaster had admitted at the beginning of the year to have a “responsibility” in the cacophony around the sale of tickets in the United States for the tour of the American star Taylor Swift in November 2022.

The giant of the sale of tickets for shows was however quick to point the finger at the shared responsibility for “bot attacks” which would have significantly slowed down the operations of the platform during the sale of tickets in mid-November.

This chaotic situation had revived criticism of the dominant position of the giant in the ticket sales sector, which merged in 2010 with the entertainment giant Live Nation. Without naming her directly, the singer had criticized the platform in an Instagram post, claiming to be “out of her mind” after seeing so many of her fans “living a nightmare”.
