New tender: Six wind turbines for Denklingen – Bavaria

The referendum against ten wind turbines in the Altöttinger Forest near Mehring is not stopping the Bavarian State Forests (BaySF) from pushing ahead with the expansion of wind power in the state forest. This Wednesday, the state-owned company is launching the tender for a small wind farm with a maximum of six wind turbines in the state forest near Denklingen (Landsberg am Lech district), as the SZ learned in advance. “I see a measured and targeted expansion of wind energy in the state forest as a mandate for the state forests and society as a whole,” says BaySF board member Martin Neumeyer. “If we as a society want to secure prosperity and economic power for the younger generations in Bavaria, we must successfully accomplish this task.”
