The Haus der Kunst in Munich has appointed Hong Kong-born curator, producer and author Xue Tan as its new program director. From June onwards she will be the main curator and successor to Emma Enderby, who is moving to KW Berlin as artistic director.
Tan is the founding curator of Tai Kwun Contemporary, a leading contemporary art center in Asia. She was also responsible for various curatorial projects on different continents, including at the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt and the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College in New York. Xue Tan stands for a new understanding of art practice and will accompany the transformation process in the Haus der Kunst alongside director Andrea Lissoni.
