The 40-year-old succeeds Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Truss, who took over as Prime Minister from Boris Johnson on September 6, 2022. Her term of office was only seven weeks.

- Sunak is Britain’s first Hindu Prime Minister. Although the conservative of Asian descent rarely discusses religion, he is a practicing believer in the third largest religion on earth – Hinduism.
