Prince Andrew claims he only knew Ghislaine Maxwell in the ongoing sex abuse case. A photo that has now surfaced and anonymous witnesses raise doubts.

The British newspaper “The Telegraph” has published a previously unknown photo showing Prince Andrew together with Ghislaine Maxwell and former US President Bill Clinton in Buckingham Palace. In the 2002 shot, Clinton can be seen inspecting the Queen’s throne. Another unidentified woman in the picture wears a t-shirt that reads “God Save The Queen.”

Not to be seen is actor Kevin Spacey, who is said to have also been on the tour of Buckingham Palace. The “Telegraph” had already published a photo in 2020 that Ghislaine Maxwell and Kevin Spacey on the throne sitting shows. The picture is also from 2002 and was probably taken on the same occasion. In both shots, Maxwell wears a white lace blouse.

Ghislaine Maxwell is said to have been Andrew’s ex-girlfriend

As the “Telegraph” reports, the 60-year-old is said to have been introduced to the VIP guests on the tour as “Prince Andrew’s ex-girlfriend”. “Ghislaine Maxwell was the one who showed us into Buckingham Palace. We went through the main gate and Ghislaine showed us where to go. She was very knowledgeable about this area of the palace,” the newspaper quoted an unnamed person as saying , who claims to have been part of the tour at the time. According to the Telegraph, the throne room is only accessible as part of public tours of the palace or during state visits and official royal events.

The new photo further implicates Prince Andrew in the looming civil lawsuit against Virginia Roberts Giuffre. The American-born claims that she was sexually abused by the Queen’s son when she was a minor and is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages. Prince Andrew denies all allegations against him. The 61-year-old claims that he didn’t really know Ghislaine Maxwell well either.

Ghislaine Maxwell walked in and out of Buckingham Palace

Recently, however, a former security employee at Buckingham Palace had asserted that the relationship between Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell was said to have been very familiar. “Me and a colleague were wondering if there was a more intimate bond between Maxwell and Prince Andrew. Maxwell was in and out of the palace,” he said in the TV documentary “Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Pedophile”.

There are also several recordings showing Prince Andrew and Maxwell together. In 2000, for example, they attended the horse races at Ascot together, Heidi Klum’s Halloween party in New York and were guests at the wedding of Andrew’s ex-girlfriend Aurelia Cecil. In an interview, the Queen’s son called a photo showing Andrew and Maxwell with alleged victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre a fake. “I don’t remember meeting her. That never happened,” Andrew told the BBC in 2019.

Prince Andrew will have to repeat his statements under oath on March 10th. Then the 61-year-old is questioned by Guiffre’s lawyers in London. Virginia Roberts Giuffre is scheduled to answer questions from Andrew’s attorneys in April. Both sides have to decide by July 28 whether they want to risk a civil trial or settle out of court.
