New OLED concepts from LG Display on display

LG Display demonstrated novel OLED technologies at the Consumer Electronics Show 2023. The focus is on automotive display solutions, such as foldable OLED screens.

The Consumer Electronics Show 2023 is currently taking place in Las Vegas, where screen technologies always play a major role. LG Display will have a main stand in the north hall and a stand for automotive displays in the west hall of the fair.

Among other things, LG Display is discontinued 17 inch foldable OLED display at CES. This is probably already in Asus ZenBook 17 Fold for use. The manufacturer also shows an eight-inch “360-degree OLED display”, which makes it possible to fold a device in both directions. It can be folded more than 200,000 times.

The South Korean screen maker wants to expand its order-to-order business with small to medium-sized OLED and automotive display solutions, the press release says. For vehicles there is a at the booth 34 inch P-OLED display to see and also a 12.8 inch large control pad shows LG display. An exhibited LCD-based head-up display achieves a brightness of up to 5,000 nits. A 3D display panel will also be demonstrated, which uses eye tracking to create a 3D effect without the need for special glasses.
