A new James Bond novel will be about the coronation of King Charles III. turn – including “sex, violence and a dazzling villain”.

On May 6th, Charles III. (74) and King’s wife Camilla (75) were solemnly crowned King and Queen of Great Britain in London’s Westminster Abbey. As “Variety” reports, publisher Ian Fleming Publications has commissioned a new James Bond novel to celebrate the occasion. Author Charlie Higson (64) wrote a 007 story that took place on May 4th, two days before the coronation of King Charles in London. The task of the super spy is to prevent the festive event from being disrupted.

This is what “On His Majesty’s Secret Service” is about

The novel, titled On His Majesty’s Secret Service, revolves around eccentric Bond villain Athelstan of Wessex. With a dangerous team of private mercenaries, he plans to prevent the coronation of King Charles III. to stop to settle a score with all of Britain.

“Everything you could want in a Bond story is there – sex, violence, cars, a colorful villain with a nasty henchman, and of course Bond himself,” said author Higson, who wrote the novel in record time ahead of its May 4 publication date .May must finish. According to Higson, this tight schedule is “as tense and gripping as a Bond mission”.

Bond novel for a good cause

All proceeds from the sale of the new Bond novel will benefit the UK’s National Literacy Trust, a charity that teaches literacy to underprivileged children.
