New introduction: Peugeot E-Rifter: For the family

The high-roof van has improved visually, especially from the front, as the new front is particularly impressive with the LED headlights. The Peugeot Rifter is still available as an electric version with two wheelbases. If the normal version with a length of 4.40 meters is not enough, you can opt for the seven-seater version with a total length of 4.70 meters and more living space inside. With a volume of 775 to 4,000 liters, there is either plenty of space for larger items or any occupancy of the seven individual seats. If desired, not only the rear seats but also the front passenger seat can be folded forward. The concept with the two large sliding doors and a tailgate in which the glass pane can be opened and closed separately has also remained. However, even after the revision there is no electrical operation of the tailgate or the two sliding doors.

Inside, the revised Peugeot E-Rifter offers a new dashboard with animated instruments and a ten-inch touchscreen in the middle, which usefully complements the voice control. There is an inductive charging cradle for smartphones in the center console, while three additional USB sockets and a 230-volt socket supply other devices with the necessary energy.

The standard electric engine from Stellantis, which powers almost all vehicles, provides the drive. The electric motor on the front axle produces 100 kW / 136 hp and a maximum torque of 270 Nm. From a standstill, it goes to 100 km/h in 11.2 seconds and the speed drops to 135 km/h all too early. The 50 kWh battery pack in the underbody should be sufficient for a range of around 320 kilometers. The maximum charging speed of 100 kilowatts is just as sluggish as the top speed. Numerous assistance systems, including automatic cruise control and 180-degree cameras, ensure safety on board.
