A new feature is on the way for WhatsApp that will make editing your images child’s play. In the future, image editing AI will help you optimize your snapshots with just one touch. You can find the new feature at the top left in the image editing area of WhatsApp.
If you tap on it, you have the choice between three options, such as the WhatsApp-related technology website WABetaInfo on a beta screenshot shows: “Backdrop”, “Restyle” and “Expand”. The functions can be translated with “Background”, “Rearrange” and “Expand”. And what do they each do now?
AI image editing in WhatsApp: This is how you use it
With the “Background” function you can completely replace the background of your pictures, with the “Rearrange” function you can change the general style of your photo and give it an artistic touch. If you want to give your images more perspective, you can use the “Expand” function. This allows you to expand the edges of the image and artificially add more background.
The feature is currently still in the beta phase, but it will be made available to all users free of charge in a future update. There is no exact date for this yet.
