New goalkeeper coach at Bayern: This time Nagelsmann’s buddy – Sport

FC Bayern announces the commitment of the new goalkeeping coach in a conspicuously taciturn manner. Michaelrechner is regarded as a confidant of Julian Nagelsmann – and has excellent contact with a keeper who could inherit Manuel Neuer one day.

The football game, which took place on December 8th, 2002 in Ahlen in North Rhine-Westphalia, could not have expected that it would gain a certain importance more than 20 years later. Although the game itself has hardly left any traces in German football history, the club LR Ahlen (today RW Ahlen) lost a second division home game against Waldhof Mannheim 1:4. In the light of the very latest present, however, it can be considered remarkable who guarded the two goals back then. The goalkeeper for the loser from Ahlen was Andreas Kronenberg, for the winner from Mannheim he was called Michaelrechner. A good 20 years later, fate brings them together again on a football field, at least in a broader sense: Both are now training Manuel Neuer, the best goalkeeper in history – Kronenberg in the national team and calculator at FC Bayern.
