The e-models prevailed among the scooters, with the small models slowed down to 45 km/h anyway, and now also with the larger scooters. The reasons are obvious. A scooter is not designed to cover hundreds of kilometers in one go. Battery range and everyday distances go together. Due to the low weight, the battery does not have to be particularly large and expensive.
Another point: An e-scooter hardly needs any expensive maintenance. When it comes to looks, the camp splits. Some want the “Bella Italia look” even with a modern drive – preferably with a touch of retro. The Vespa is the best-known model here. The classic look with the wide leg shield, the seat and the thick cheeks is considered the benchmark for scooter design. Or you go a completely different way. With flat raptor slots for the headlights instead of the classic round light.
