New chamber in Cheops pyramid photographed – Knowledge

What is this chamber? At the top it is closed off by a gable roof, the limestone walls are only roughly hewn, in the background a transverse structure can be guessed at. There are no footprints in the dust, nor any other indication that people have been here. The room is located in the Pyramid of Cheops, the largest pyramid of Giza, one of the most studied buildings in the world. He is of a stately size, according to first estimates he is considerably longer than five meters. And it’s close to the outside wall of the pyramid, above the original entrance, so it’s not even very well hidden. And yet no one has seen this room for around 4500 years – until now.
