Superstar Taylor Swift has once again set several Spotify records with her new album. “The Tortured Poets Department” was streamed more times in one day than any other album, the company said. After less than 24 hours, it reached more than 200 million plays on the platform, according to industry service Variety. The eleventh studio album is dedicated to different phases of a breakup.

The three most streamed albums in one day are now from the 34-year-old, Spotify announced: In addition to the double album released on Friday, these are “Midnights” and “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”.

In addition, no other artist’s work was streamed as often on Spotify in a single day as that of the US singer.

Swift had previously set several records on the streaming platform: In October 2022, “Midnight” was the most streamed album in one day to date, making Swift the artist who was streamed the most within one day. In all of 2023, no other artist was streamed as many times as Swift – 26.1 billion times.
