Neuried / Pullach – backing for wind farm – district of Munich

The district of Munich will bear the costs for the development of the wind estimate as well as the drafting of the contract of the working group for the wind farm in Forstenrieder Park, to which the communities Neuried and Pullach belong and which the community Brunnthal recently joined. The municipalities of Neuried and Planegg had submitted a corresponding application, and the district council’s energy and environment committee approved this request on Tuesday. The assumption of the costs of around 9,000 euros – as with the wind energy project in Hofoldinger Forst – is initially symbolic, but at the same time makes it possible to build up to six rotors with a total height of up to 250 meters each in Forstenrieder Park. The Baierbrunn municipal council, for example, has linked its participation in the consortium to this financial support from the district. The committee also decided that the district will not join the consortium. This is due to the fact that the project is already well advanced, said District Office Spokeswoman Franziska Herr after the meeting; an accession of the district could have led to delays in the planning. The communities of Pullach and Neuried have already signed a site security agreement with the property owner of the Forstenrieder Park, the Bavarian State Forests, which forms the basis for examining the potential of wind power in this area. The assumption of costs by the district also represents a certain security for the municipalities, because the district also steps in if the project still fails, which is possible at any time, as the district office says.
