At a demonstration in Neuperlach, Otto Bußjäger, deputy district administrator and district chairman of the Free Voters, spoke out in favor of maintaining the maternity ward of the local clinic and against further cuts in local health care. According to a press release by the Free Voters at the rally on Monday, the local politician emphasized that the planning of requirements should not only be based on economic requirements, but should primarily do justice to the well-being of the population – precisely because of the strong influx in the region and as a lesson from the corona pandemic. A joint effort by the state capital and the district with support from the federal and state governments is necessary to support the midwives and maintain the maternity ward, according to Bußjäger. The young free voters in Munich-Land started the initiative to keep the maternity ward. Bußjäger and Johannes Seitner, FW state parliament candidate for the Munich Land-Süd constituency, had recently met with the Bavarian Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU).
