Neuherberg – truck loses 22 tons of beer crates – district of Munich

A truck full of beer crates lost the entire load near Neuherberg on Wednesday afternoon. According to the police, the 59-year-old driver from Slovenia wanted to drive his semi-trailer combination from the B 13 onto the A 99 in the direction of Salzburg. Because the load was not properly secured, several pallets slipped on the trailer in the curve. As a result, the team tilted slightly, so that 22 tons of full beer crates tipped onto the road and spread out over a large area. “Somehow a sad picture,” the Freising traffic police captioned their report on the accident. The cargo was completely destroyed. The fire brigades from Oberschleißheim and Unterschleißheim as well as the THW Munich and the motorway maintenance department were on duty for several hours, and the Neuherberg motorway exit in the direction of Salzburg was closed during this time.
