Neuhauser Music Night with 250 musicians at 49 venues – Munich

Where is the best place to get to know a district and its people? In the pubs or clubs, preferably at a concert. In this respect, there is no better opportunity to explore Munich’s district 9 than to immerse yourself in the “Neuhauser Musiknacht”. There is not just one concert here, but 59 bands with 250 musicians play at 49 locations.

Not just pubs like the Gorilla Bar (The Karl Marx Brothers with “Revolution Rock”), the Eternal Light (Chris Aaron with Rockabilly) or the Mathilda (Lucile & The Raki Buam with Anatolian psych-funk) are there, but also cafés like the Espresso Colonial (Little Miss Umpha) and inns like the Großwirt (soul cabaret with LIAB) and even the Bavarian Institute for the Blind (Giesek & Friends) and the Bavarian Red Cross (Tuned with evergreens).

The varied program has once again put together Niko Strnad, who also runs the witch’s cauldron on the Tollwood. The process is quite clear: it plays at 7 p.m Paul Daly Band a free opening concert on Rotkreuzplatz. Anyone who buys the wristband for five euros can switch to a different 40-minute set every hour on the hour from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m.: from tried and tested artists such as Titus Waldenfels (Papalapap) or Marc Dorendorf (Kultur im Transformo) as well as from Up-and-comers like Gündalein on the rap stage (leisure center at Hirschgarten). In the Backstage Club, guests can not only meet Neuhauser with a mix of punk and metal, but also international musicians from Italy, Austria and the USA.

Neuhauser Musiknacht, Sat., Oct. 28, 7 p.m., opening concert and information point at Rotkreuzplatz, closing concert at midnight in the Trafo, www.neuhausermusiknacht.de
