Stine fiddles with the iPad display with the blue and yellow blocks that say something like “When program starts” or “Run 0.2 revolutions”. And the ramp made of Lego bricks lets the ball roll down. The fourth grader programmed the process. “It’s great that it works,” says Steffi Rudel. At her programming school “Programonte” in Neubiberg, she offers courses for children from the first grade. One of the participants this Friday is Stine. It is very important to Rudel that their students learn to program in a way that is suitable for children as early as possible and that they have a lot of fun doing it. “We use the digital devices all the time. I want the children to learn how it all works,” explains the computer scientist.
