Netflix is ​​getting more expensive again. The streaming service is increasing its subscription prices in Germany.

The streaming service Netflix has increased its prices for standard and premium subscriptions in Germany. If you don’t want to see advertising, you’ll have to dig deeper into your pockets from now on. Only the price for the standard subscription model with advertising remains the same and is still 4.99 euros per month. The streaming provider has not officially announced the price increase, the new prices are can only be viewed in the help center.

The prices of these Netflix subscriptions are rising

For the regular standard subscription without advertising, the price increases from 12.99 to 13.99 euros per month. There are unlimited ad-free films, TV shows and mobile games. The subscription also allows two supporting devices, Full HD, downloads on two devices at the same time, and the option to add an additional member who lives in another household – but this also costs 4.99 euros on top.

The most expensive model is the premium subscription at 19.99 euros instead of the previous 17.99 euros. There is the option to watch on four supporting devices at the same time, Ultra HD, downloads on six devices and the option to add two additional members from other households for the price of 4.99 euros.

There is a further price increase for the Basic subscription, which has not been able to be rebooked for a long time and only applies to existing customers: it has increased in price from 7.99 to 9.99 euros.

No sharing passwords and price increases

Netflix has been cracking down on sharing passwords between users from different households since last year. At the same time, the streaming service introduced a cheaper subscription with advertisements. In recent months, price increases have been gradually introduced in other countries. In the USA, a premium subscription now costs 22.99 US dollars (around 22 euros).
