Netflix is serious about the expected launch of video games. Android users now have access to various games via their Netflix account. Including two titles for the series “Stranger Things” but also games independent of series or films.
So far, the new offer comprises five mobile games: “Stranger Things: 1984” (BonusXP), “Stranger Things 3: The Game” (BonusXP), “Shooting Hoops” (Frosty Pop), “Card Blast” (Amuzo & Rogue Games ) and “Teeter Up” (Frosty Pop). Users who control Netflix via an Android device will now see an extra “Games” area. The games come with no additional costs and are part of the normal Netflix subscription.
The games are not available on child accounts. If adult accounts are secured with a PIN, this PIN is also required to access the games.
Some of the games are also designed for offline use. Netflix emphasizes that this is only the “first step” in terms of games. Further titles are to follow. It is to be expected that the games function will soon also be rolled out for iOS users.
