Netflix hit “Kleo”
The second season will be released in July

The start date for the second season of the action-packed spy series “Kleo” has now been set. It will continue on Netflix in July.
Almost two years ago, the German government took care of this Netflix series “Kleo” caused a sensation – not least because of the brilliant leading actress Jella Haase (31). The “Fack ju Göhte” and “Chantal in Fairyland” star received the German Television Award for “Best Actress” for his performance. It has been clear for a long time that the story surrounding the eponymous GDR contract killer will be continued with a second season. Now Netflix has also revealed the start date for the sequel: The hunt for the red suitcase continues on July 25th.

A first preview video for the new episodes Netflix released it today. The clip shows how the main character Kleo (Haase) throws himself into the fray again – and works together again with the police officer Sven (“The Kangaroo Chronicles” star Dimitrij Schaad, 38). “No shooting around,” he instructs Kleo, but the former GDR contract killer leaves a trail of blood as usual in season two.
That’s what the sequel to the Netflix series is about
According to the official plot description, in season two, the ex-GDR spy Kleo wants to get the coveted red suitcase back and finally destroy it, as its contents play a crucial role in the reorganization of Germany and Europe after the Cold War. For this reason, the CIA and the KGB also targeted the suitcase. Sooner or later, Kleo finds herself in the sights of both secret services.
The second season of “Kleo” has six episodes. Directed by Isabel Braak (36) and Nina Vukovic (46) based on a script by Hanno Hackfort (54), Richard Kropf (45), Bob Konrad (56) and Katharina Brauer (44). The filming took place in Berlin and the surrounding area as well as in Belgrade.
