Enola Holmes will return to duty. The adventures of Sherlock Holmes’ little sister (even brighter than his eldest detective, and whom the third of the siblings, Mycroft) had a hit on Netflix in a first adaptation of Nancy Springer’s novels, last year. The streaming service has therefore decided to order the sequel, Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill respectively reprising the roles of Enola and Sherlock Holmes, as we learned on Twitter.
“The rest is on! The adventure continues with the return of Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill to the world of Enola Holmes. They reunited with director Harry Bradbeer and screenwriter Jack Thorne for a second film based on Nancy Springer’s series of books on Sherlock Holmes’ brilliant sister, ”says the official account of Netflix in the caption of a video where we can see the logo of the film with a “2”.
Mystery galore
Obviously, for a film which speaks of mysteries and investigations, Netflix did not reveal the least information on the next adventures of the young girl, but its interpreter seems very enthusiastic at the idea of taking again the way of the plate. “I can’t wait to collaborate with my family again Enola Holmes. Enola holds a special place in my heart – she is strong, fearless, intelligent and courageous. I can’t wait for fans to see the rest of his journey! She said in a statement.
Sure Instagram, the star also posted a photo where she appears in costume, on the set of the first installment, confirming the news.
Enola Holmes is, according to Business Insider, the 7th most viewed Netflix original film on the platform. Millie Bobby Brown, in addition to her acting work, is also in the production.
