The Nuremberg Art Association – Albrecht Dürer Society has appointed Nele Kaczmarek as its new director. She will succeed Wolfgang Brauneis on May 1st. Kaczmarek is considered an experienced curator and mediator. From 2016 to 2022 she worked as a curator at the Kunstverein Braunschweig and taught at the University of Fine Arts there. After a curatorial scholarship program in Seoul/South Korea, she has been deputy director at the Imai – Inter Media Art Institute in Düsseldorf since 2023. According to the Nuremberg Art Association, Nele Kaczmarek should open the program even more to the interests and impulses of local groups and initiatives.
