Deliveroo has chosen to act as a talent scout by supporting the “great restaurants of tomorrow”, thanks to its new competition The neighborhood nuggets. “It’s not just gourmet restaurants that deserve to be rewarded! Local restaurants, for me, are moments of life and sharing together, it’s the soul of a neighborhood, it’s unifying! », declared chef Xavier Pincemin, master of ceremonies for this first edition which took place at La Fabrique (Paris 10th). On this occasion, prizes were awarded to restaurants located in Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, and Aix-Marseille.
Competition terms and conditions
More than 500 restaurateurs (present on the home delivery platform) participated in the competition, itself divided into 8 categories. Among them, three categories to choose the best addresses to have one delivered: “family meal”, “lunch on the go” or even “breakfast or brunch”. As well as five categories to reward each facet of international gastronomy: Europe, North America, South America, Asia & Pacific, Africa & Middle East, but also Family, On the go and Breakfast or brunch.
Deliveroo users were among the judges for this competition. They were invited to vote for their favorite restaurants from October 9 to 24, 2023 on the Pépites de Quartier website. Result, 22,000 votes on the counter to reward Tuesday November 14, 2023 the winners of this first competition.

In addition to a personalized trophy with the name and category of the winner, the winners also benefit from being highlighted on the delivery platform which aims to “promote” them.
