Airplane drama in the middle of the idyll!
sands – The wreckage of the ultralight aircraft lies on a flower meadow in Mariensiel (Friesland district). The machine took off around noon today and was on its way to land at Jade-Weser Airport. Both occupants died instantly.

The police and fire brigade were notified at around 12:18 p.m. According to witnesses, the plane fell like a stone from a height of 60 meters. The rescuers immediately rushed towards the crash site with a large contingent. When they arrived at the wreck, they also discovered the bodies of the occupants.

“The two people were on an excursion. However, due to a technical problem, they returned to the airport,” a police spokesman told BILD. The cause of the crash could possibly be a stall.
The Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation was informed of the incident. The investigations are ongoing.
