Big scare on Monday afternoon at Hennebont, near Lorient (Morbihan). Six public and private schools have launched their safety plan, confining students for around an hour at the request of the authorities. The device was activated after several reports of gunshots in a park near the city center around 2 p.m. A man was spotted shooting in the air in the park.
Unable to find him, nor to know his intentions, the police organized the protection of the schools, including the exit of its occupants, reports West France. A crèche, a swimming pool and a retirement home have also been secured. A search failed to locate the suspect as of Monday evening.
