There was a mass collision on Autobahn 95 near Großweil in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday. Around six cars were involved, the police announced in the afternoon. A police spokesman was initially unable to say whether there were any injuries in the accident.
The cause of the accident was also still unknown. A rescue helicopter was deployed. The motorway was closed in the direction of Munich, it was said. According to the police, the road in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is not affected.
