High-ranking visitors to the “NDR Talk Show” for the 1000th edition on October 13th. Günther Jauch will also be among the guests on the anniversary episode.

The “NDR Talk Show” is celebrating a big anniversary on Friday (October 13th). And for the 1000th broadcast the Norddeutsche Rundfunk came up with something very special for the show moderated by Barbara Schöneberger (49) and Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt (67). On the one hand, it will be half an hour longer from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. in keeping with the occasion, and on the other hand, the now 150-minute live broadcast will impress with an illustrious panel of talks. Above all, the visit from TV legend Günther Jauch (67) stands out, who otherwise rarely asks private questions in interview rounds.

In addition to Jauch, there will also be star chef Tim Mälzer (52), the actors Florian David Fitz (48) and Christoph Maria Herbst (57), the artist Lili Paul Roncalli (25), presenter and singer Ina Müller (58) and the comedians Carolin Kebekus (43) and Mario Barth (50) do the honors. The “NDR Talk Show” is one of the longest-running shows on German television and has been broadcast from the Hamburg studio since 1979. Many episodes featured repeated scandals and memorable TV moments.

Legendary moments in the “NDR Talk Show”

The throwing of glass by author Karin Struck (1947-2006) at the then Minister for Women, Angela Merkel (69, CDU) during a discussion about abortion is still legendary today. The embarrassing/bizarre exchange of words between Klaus Kinski (1925-1991) and Alida Gundlach (80) is still very popular today in numerous retrospectives and on the Internet. Many viewers also remembered the spontaneous treatment of Barbara Schöneberger’s back by bone crusher Tamme Hanken (1950-2016) or the kiss and cleavage attack by Brigitte Nielsen (60) on Michael “Bully” Herbig (55).

In addition to Schöneberger and Meyer-Burckhardt, the presenter duo Bettina Tietjen (63) and Johannes Wimmer (40) also take turns leading the show. The “NDR Talk Show” appears every Friday at 10 p.m., three times a month. After “3 nach 9” from Radio Bremen, it is the second oldest talk show still running on German television.
