Nuggets suffer biggest defeat of the season in New York

The New York Knicks are the team of the moment in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. With their fifth win in a row, the team caused the defending champions’ biggest defeat of the season.
The New York Knicks have their winning streak in the NBA expanded and also won against the Denver Nuggets, who were previously unbeaten in three games. Without German center Isaiah Hartenstein, who was still injured on his Achilles tendon, the Knicks won 122:84 and handed the defending champions their worst defeat of the season.
Newcomer OG Anunoby was the best scorer with 26 points in a game that the Knicks had under control from the first minute. Nikola Jokic scored 31 points and criticized his team afterwards. “There was only one team on the pitch today. We just weren’t there,” said the Serb.
The Washington Wizards also suffered a defeat, just hours after coach Wes Unseld was moved to another position and Brian Keefe took over as interim coach. The score against the Utah Jazz was 108:123. It was the sixth defeat in a row; Washington has only won seven of the 44 games this season so far.
