Antetokounmpo is missing, but the Milwaukee Bucks win against the Los Angeles Clippers. Theis can still plan for the playoffs. Another world champion after the next bankruptcy, probably not.

The Milwaukee Bucks also have it without the ailing Giannis Antetokounmpo won their home game against the Los Angeles Clippers led by world champion Daniel Theis. The 113:106 was the sixth win in a row since the All-Star break in the best basketball league in the world.

The Clippers, where Theis came off the bench and contributed seven points and six rebounds, at least managed more than 100 points. The Bucks’ four previous opponents had failed to achieve this. Antetokounmpo was out due to Achilles tendon problems and missed only his third game this season.

The outstanding man on the pitch was Damien Lillard with 41 points for the hosts. Bobby Portis Jr. also had a strong game with 28 points and 16 rebounds. For the Clippers, Paul George and James Harden each scored 29 points; the team from LA has won five times and lost five times in the last ten games. Direct qualification for the playoffs is not currently in acute danger.

The Brookly Nets, on the other hand, have increasingly slim chances of at least making it into the playoffs. With world champion captain Dennis Schröder, the eleventh-placed team in the Eastern Conference lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 102:106. Schröder had 13 points and 9 assists.
