More than three years after her death, a previously unreleased song by Naya Rivera has been released for charity.

As part of the pre-Christmas fundraising campaign “Snixxmas” in honor of the actress and singer who died in a tragic accident Naya Rivera (1987-2020) has released a new song from the “Glee” star. “Prayers For The Broken” is a previously unreleased song by Rivera from 2012, according to the Alexandria House in Los Angeles.

The song is available on well-known streaming platforms – including Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify and YouTube Music. With permission from Rivera’s mother, Yolanda, as well as Lindy Robbins and Isaac Hasson, the song’s writer and creator, proceeds from the streams, along with direct donations, will benefit Alexandria House.

In addition to Rivera, who was best known for her role in “Glee,” some of her former series colleagues can also be heard. Kevin McHale (35), Amber Riley (37), Jenna Ushkowitz (37), Heather Morris (36), Ashley Fink (37) and Vanessa Lengies (38) are there.

Already almost $250,000 for a good cause

This is the fourth edition of the “Snixxmas” campaign, which is intended to continue Rivera’s “tradition of kindness and philanthropy.” it says on the homepage. Alexandria House aims to provide women and their children with safe accommodation and help them move into permanent, new homes. In recent years, almost $250,000 has been raised.

Naya Rivera rented a boat on July 8, 2020 to take her then four-year-old son on a trip on Lake Piru in Ventura County, California. The little boy was later found sleeping on the boat without his mother. On July 13, Rivera’s body was discovered by divers. Authorities confirmed that the 33-year-old drowned and classified her death as an accident.
