In addition to the central defender, Antonio Rüdiger and Thilo Kehrer play in the three-man defense tested by Flick, with Dortmund’s Emre Can in the sixth position in front.

Compared to the disappointing 3-3 win against Ukraine in Bremen last Monday, only Rüdiger and captain Joshua Kimmich are back in the starting XI. Jonas Hofmann and Benjamin Henrichs will come from the outside positions on Friday evening. Kai Havertz plays in the storm, who scored once in Bremen and got the penalty kick, which Kimmich converted to the final score.

Poland’s squad is led by former Dortmund midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski, who is starting his 109th and final cap as captain. The two-time world footballer and long-time Bayern professional Robert Lewandowski is said to pose a threat in the storm.

The German lineup:

ter Stegen – Rüdiger, Thiaw, Kehrer – Can – Hofmann, Kimmich, Wirtz, Henrichs – Musiala, Havertz
