The crackdown took place after several months of investigations. In recent days, the police have dismantled a large traffic in narcotics Bellevue district in Nantes. Twelve people were taken into custody after the discovery of some 20 kg of cannabis, police said. Weapons, but also thousands of euros were seized in this “high place” of drug trafficking, where a hundred police intervened.

According to the newspaper Ocean Press, the people arrested Tuesday are suspected of drug trafficking, aggravated money laundering, participation in a criminal association and possession of a weapon. They would supply and animate several deal points located in particular around Place Mendès-France.
