If you still want to buy a Germany ticket from the Munich Transport Company (MVG) for May, you no longer have to queue for hours at the customer center: on Thursday you made it possible to order online again. The ticket can now be printed out on the MVG homepage before a chip card is expected to be sent out in the summer. Smartphone users get it as a mobile ticket in the MVGO and MVG-Fahrinfo apps. This was already possible with Deutsche Bahn and the Munich transport association.
MVG says it still sells around 5,000 Deutschlandticket subscriptions per day. There are now more than 200,000. Because the demand is so high, it could take a few days before the print ticket is available in the customer portal or the mobile phone ticket is available in the app. Until the respective ticket has been delivered and retrieved, passengers can show their order confirmation at a ticket inspection.
For technical reasons, a digital offer for the current month is not possible, the Munich transport company announced on Wednesday. The adjustment of the sales system showed within a day that it is possible.
