Music School Planegg-Krailling: New supporting association founded – District of Munich

The music school Planegg-Krailling has a new supporting association. On Thursday evening the association “Musikschule an der Würm eV” was founded in the Krailling town hall. The founding became necessary after the communities could not agree on a new statute with the old association. The eight founding members are the mayors Rudolph Haux (FDP) and Hermann Nafziger (CSU) as well as Brigitte Metius, Imme Kaiser, Karin Wolf, Stephanie Hamburger, Philipp Pollems and Fabian Nafziger, son of the mayor of Planegg and himself a musician. The new association statutes are intended to ensure that the municipalities of Planegg and Krailling, through their mayors and both municipal councils, guarantee the continued existence of the music school in the future, as stated in a press release from the Planegg town hall on Friday. Philipp Pollems (first chairman), Stephanie Hamburger (deputy chairman) and Karin Wolf (treasurer) were elected as board members.

According to the town hall announcement, the supporting association of the Music School an der Würm will in future manage the affairs of the Music School Planegg-Krailling. The name of the music school will remain like everything else: the music school management and all teachers will continue to work seamlessly. A notary appointment and the entry in the register of associations will follow in the next few weeks. The mayors Haux and Nafziger said they were “very happy that the path of the music school Planegg-Krailling has now been paved again for the music, the teachers and the students”. Insolvency proceedings are currently underway because, after the quarrel with the school’s former managers, the two municipalities announced that they would no longer pay the annual grants of around 400,000 euros.
