According to the organizer, around 60,000 visitors came to the Olympic site to see performances by pop singers Ava Max (“Kings & Queens”) and Zara Larsson (“Lush Life”). Concerts by DJ David Guetta (“I’m Good (Blue)”) and the band Mumford & Sons (“Little Lion Man”) were also on the agenda.

The situation on Saturday was calm, as the organizers announced. More than 60,000 visitors were also expected on Sunday. Many fans wore hats, caps or fans to protect themselves from the hot temperatures.

Things got political at the performance of rapper Ski Aggu (“Friesenjung”) on Saturday afternoon. “Forget the football thing. I’m a Herthaner and my best friend is a Union fan,” said the Berliner, referring to the fan rivalry between the capital’s football clubs Hertha BSC and Union Berlin. Because the only enemy is the AfD.

The Olympic site has been the location for Lollapalooza since 2018. The US festival was founded in 1991 by Perry Farrell, singer of the band Jane’s Addiction. In 2015, Lollapalooza celebrated its European premiere at Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin.
