Her breakthrough came with Wolkenfrei. Vanessa Mai has now released a new cloud-free album – and the success remains true to her.
With her new Wolkenfrei album “Hotel Tropicana”, singer Vanessa Mai started at number three in the German album charts. It is already their sixth top 3 record in a row, said GfK Entertainment. Mai had her breakthrough in 2013 as a singer in the Schlager band Wolkenfrei. In the meantime she embodies the project alone and had announced a new Wolkenfrei album for the 10th anniversary.
Depeche Mode defended the top of the album charts with “Memento Mori”. Herbert Grönemeyer (“That’s going on”) remains second. New York singer-songwriter Melanie Martinez debuts at number four with “Portals.” Lana Del Rey loses two positions and is now fifth with “Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd”.
In the single charts, Udo Lindenberg & Apache 207 lost their top spot after nine weeks with “Komet” and are now second. RAF Camora & Luciano are at the top with “All Night”. But Apache 207 already has the next hit at the start: “Breaking Your Heart” enters at number three.
