Rolling Stones have the best album start of the year so far

It is the Rolling Stones’ first album to be released after the death of drummer Charlie Watts: “Hackney Diamonds”. It’s off to a strong start in Germany.
It is the eleventh number one record by Mick Jagger & Co: Die Rolling Stones have taken first place in the German album charts with their new work “Hackney Diamonds”. It is the first Stones album to be released after the death of drummer Charlie Watts.
It is the most successful start of the year, the most successful start since Rammstein’s “Time” a year and a half ago and the strongest start by an international artist since ABBA and “Voyage” two years ago, the chart investigators from GfK Entertainment announced on Friday in Baden-Baden with.
“Hackney Diamonds” is the Rolling Stones’ first full album of new songs since 2005. It was released on October 20th.
Also new in the album charts are places two and three: “One More Time…” by the US rock band Blink-182 and “Supervision” by singer-songwriter Mark Forster. Fourth place goes to Santiano with “Doggerland” (last week: three) and fifth place goes to the new album “Bleed Out” by the symphonic metal band Within Temptation.

The hit boy group Team 5ünf is a newcomer, taking ninth place (“For Eternity”) and singer Cher taking eleventh place (“Christmas”).
Ski Aggu, who reached the top of the German charts last week with his album “Denk mal drüber nach…”, falls to number seven. Pop legend Howard Carpendale slips from second to eighth place with “Let’s Do It Again”.
“Tiktok high-flyer Íñigo Quintero has reached the top of the single charts after a four-week start-up period,” reported GfK Entertainment. The breakup song “Si no estás” is the first Spanish-language song to reach number one in this country since “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi feat. Daddy Yankee, the summer hit of 2017. The song is a Europe-wide phenomenon, also a number one hit in its Spanish homeland, Switzerland, Austria and France.
Meanwhile, Cassö, Raye & D-Block Europe (“Prada”) fall from number one to number two this week. As the strongest new entry, rapper Reezy (“14 Passenger”) storms into third place. In fourth place are SIRA, Bausa & Badchieff (“9 to 9”). Canadian singer Tate McRae (“Greedy”) takes fifth place.
