The comedian Trevor Noah (37) will also moderate the Grammys in the coming year. The South African will lead through the music award gala planned for January 31 in Los Angeles, announced the organizers.

Noah had already hosted the 63rd edition of the Grammys earlier this year – singer Beyoncé had been honored four times and had broken the record of a total of 28 awards, she now has more awards than any other woman in the history of the Grammys.

Jon Batiste favorite

The US musician Jon Batiste is the favorite in the 64th edition with eleven nominations, as the organizers recently announced. Behind him are singer Justin Bieber (“Peaches”), rapper Doja Cat (“Kiss Me More”) and singer-songwriter HER (“Fight For You”), each with eight nominations. The pop singers Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo can raise their hopes in seven of the 86 Grammy categories. Around 13,000 members of the Recording Academy decide on the winners of the Grammys, which are among the most coveted music prizes in the world.
