Murder case Sonja Engelbrecht: further search operation after finding bones – Munich

After a party, a 19-year-old woman from Munich disappears without a trace. Now, 27 years later, another forest area is being searched to solve the case.

In the case of Sonja Engelbrecht from Munich, who was presumably murdered 27 years ago, the police are continuing to search for traces. Near Kipfenberg in the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt, around 100 emergency services are on the move in a forest area. In 2020, a femur was found there, which according to the police came from the 19-year-old at the time of her disappearance.

A search in November had to be ended due to the weather. However, there is no new evidence, said a police spokesman. “We’re picking up where we left off.”
