Murder case Kusel: investigation files paint a picture of an execution

Andreas S. is said to have shot two police officers in Kusel to cover up poaching. He relies on self-defense. But investigative documents paint a picture of a cold-blooded act.

At 4:19 a.m. on the morning of January 31, a colleague radioed the police station in Kusel, a small town in Rhineland-Palatinate. He says they found dubious people there, they had the trunk full of game. It could be poaching.

4.20 a.m., the next radio message:

“Come quickly, shoot, shoot, come quickly! Help.”

A shot can be heard in the background.
