Murder case Hanna W.: Police before interrogation marathon – Bavaria

When investigating the killing of a student after visiting a club in Aschau im Chiemgau in Upper Bavaria, the police are once again faced with a marathon of interrogations. There were up to 800 guests in the “Eiskeller” nightclub on the evening of the crime, and the officials want to speak to everyone. On Saturday, numerous interrogations are to take place, several surrounding departments are involved for support, said Maximilian Maier, spokesman for the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South. “We want to turn every little piece of the jigsaw puzzle and completely explain what happened in the ‘Eiskeller’.”

The student did not come home after a visit to the “Eiskeller” on the evening of October 2nd. Hours later, a passerby discovered her body downstream in the Prien, which flows through Aschau. An adolescent is in custody on suspicion of a crime. The police did not say whether he has since commented on the crime. The young man is a jogger who was seen near the ice house on the night of the crime. The jogger was initially wanted as a witness. Then the suspicion was confirmed, so that he was arrested on November 18th.

In addition to questioning the witnesses, the Soko “Club” is following numerous other tracks, said Maier. Among other things, the origin of a wristwatch that was found in a small stream not far from the nightclub is still unclear. A ring that the woman was wearing and apparently lost in the creek was also discovered near the watch.

In November, the Soko “Club” also asked for help and information nationwide in the television program “Aktenzeichen XY…”. “The investigators’ work is far from over,” said Maier.
