If everything goes smoothly, one of the most important posts that the city of Munich has to offer at its subsidiaries will be filled this Wednesday – the executive chair of the housing association “Münchner Wohnen”. On January 1, 2024, the previously independent municipal companies Gewofag and GWG will merge. And after the Gewofag boss Klaus-Michael Dengler, who was favored for the management of the merged companies, stumbled across an expert opinion affair in the spring, his position – and with it the management position at “Münchner Wohnen” – was advertised nationwide. From a low three-digit number of submissions, a committee first filtered out a handful of applicants who recently presented themselves. Now, on Wednesday, an even smaller group of candidates will take part in the final round in front of the Gewofag supervisory board.
