Munich: xenophobic slogans and Bengalos at the Old Botanical Garden – Munich

The police are still puzzling as to what is behind an action at the Old Botanical Garden last Wednesday: Around 11 p.m., several people climbed onto the entrance portal of the garden on the corner of Elisenstrasse and Sophienstrasse, unrolled a banner with xenophobic slogans and both on the Tor as well as on the ground so-called Bengal fire burned down.

When the police arrived, the people fled. However, three men in their early 20s were arrested. They were charged with trespassing and violations of the Explosives Act and the Public Assembly Act. It is not yet known whether the men are members of a party or other organization.
