Munich: Woman stubbornly follows her navigation system – and ends up on a train track – Munich

Even when using a technical aid, you shouldn’t switch off your own brain completely: A 25-year-old woman stubbornly followed a navigation app in Munich and walked through a hole in the fence onto the train tracks at Ostbahnhof. As the federal police announced on Saturday, an S-Bahn train traveling from the airport to Ammersee had to brake quickly at around 9 p.m. on Friday. The train “came to a standstill about five meters in front of the woman.”

The young woman was “clearly visibly intoxicated” but refused a breath alcohol test, said a police spokesman. The public prosecutor’s office then ordered a blood sample; the result from forensic medicine is still pending. The woman is being investigated for dangerously interfering with rail traffic. No passengers in the S8 were injured.
