Munich: Woman pushed off the bike in Müllerstrasse – suspect determined – Munich

The police used witnesses to identify the alleged perpetrator, who is said to have pushed a woman off her bike in Müllerstrasse last Thursday afternoon without cause. Like the police SZ confirmed, it is a 35-year-old resident in Munich.

The man is already known to the police for other violent crimes, including bodily harm. He is now being investigated again for bodily harm, dangerous intervention in road traffic, threats and insults. A spokeswoman for the Munich police said he also received a threat speech as a preventive measure to prevent further crimes.

An arrest warrant has not yet been issued. There are no grounds for detention, the spokeswoman said. According to Section 112 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, such cases exist, for example, if there is a risk of flight or collusion, i.e. evidence or witnesses could be manipulated, or a suspect has no permanent residence.

The 35-year-old pedestrian suddenly pushed the 46-year-old woman off her bike when she was on the road. The spot at house number 31 is not without danger because trams also run there and tracks run in the middle.

The second sudden attack on a cyclist in a few days

The cyclist was injured and taken to a hospital by ambulance. She suffered bruises and abrasions. Another woman who tried to stop the man as he fled the scene was reportedly kicked by the man but did not require medical treatment.

There had already been a sudden attack on a cyclist a week ago. An unidentified masked mountain bike rider had cut a young woman on her bike in the English Garden and pushed her off her bike. When she resisted, he fled.
